It was relaxing and clean

The resort was beautiful and relaxing. Most of the staff was friendly and professional. Elvis was amazing! He was very proactive in helping us with our bags and even remembered our room number when it was time to check out.

Lener and Alfonso/Alonzo were not very nice. Neither of them acknowledged me with a greeting. I had to greet both of them initially because they both ignored me as I approached the desk/register. I told Alfonso that I had completed pre-check in online, but he was insistent that I hadn't. When he tried to check me in on his phone, he realized that I was correct. They were both quite rude.

Fun but really hot

A beautiful place, unlimited drinks, food variety, the beach, the pool

DR was really hot and the only place with AC was your room and some restaurants. This made it difficult to enjoy common areas. Staff not the friendliest, Language barrier so maybe that contributed to it

Service and. Staff are great. Large bed. The hotel is not small, is not large. The hotel has several pools and the beach area is well equipped. There are several bars around the hotel.

My friends and I had a fantastic vacation.

Pool, beach, restaurants and staff.

I’ve been there twice before and noticed that there were items in disrepair. Such as missing tiles in the pool amongst other things.

2014 vs. 2024 Majestic Elegance Resort

I loved the Michael Jackson tribute show. I loved the welcoming staff ,their kindness and jovial spirit. The overall beauty of the grounds,despite some.aspects like pool tile needing attention and missing, the upkeep and maintenance of the resort overall was good. The staff took pride and worked endlessly. Our butler Gabriel was one of the best! Our room was comfortable, elegant and spacious. The drinks were delicious and always accessible.

Most of the time the music was in Spanish. I didn't care for that. I'd hoped that they would have had a better mix and blend. At the main pool.there were times ,like water aerobics, music was appropriate. But mostly the music was disappointing and non existent at the pool. Although "Scooby-Doo "the entertainment guy was upbeat, friendly outgoing and always remembered you, the entertainment experience lacked by far from our previous experiences 10 years ago.

Beautiful resort.

The resort was great, The staff was wonderful.

The only issue we had was I paid for the Elegance adult only, but we had to stay in another building, they did give us a credit to use on some services but having made the reservation six months ago, I was disappointed.

The denial of early arrival check in even though rooms were available. How is that a good policy? The portions of food in the specialty restaurants were too small.

Good

Variety of entertainment, spacious, outdoorsy, open. The rooms had everything needed it. Room service it was even better that going to the restaurant. Good entertainment and shows for the kids.

No many food options at the buffet near the beach. One of the rooms rented for the family smelled moldy all the time, the toilets were uncomfortable and too tall, way too much algae at the beach. Service at the dinner restaurants was not good enough and specially the last day we stayed because all restaurants were closed and only one restaurant was open for all the people that was there, it was a two hour disaster and we ended not eating at all there. The photo service with the hotel, not only super expensive but the pictures were not well taken. Prices start $300 dollars for 15 pictures only and goes on and on. The kids area is so small.

Good and fun but on a diet. I don’t like to be on a diet when I’m on vacation

The property was nice and cleaned . The workers were awesome, Above and beyond.

The food was bad. Plenty of foods but tasteless. Everything was bland. Nothing we ate had taste. Please train the chefs please. Even my 9 year old complaint about the food. Once she said “those people don’t know what called spice.” Was there for 5 days but bearely eat anything. That’s the only reason I won’t go back, because when I’m on vacation I love to eat.

Everything. Excellent staff, Exceptional food great drinks. Clean well kept rooms. One of my best all inclusive experiences.

The beach could have been nicer, but that's about it. And a little light on the activity/entertainment side.

Great location, ample activities, mediocre food.

Beautiful location. Our room was spacious for the four of us and had everything that we needed. There were plenty of activities offered to fill the time if we had nothing scheduled.

Making the reservation through booking.com was our biggest mistake- there was no answer when I called to change my booking, and no response to email. This ended up costing us a significant amount more than what we should have had to pay. I described the food as "the okayest food ever". The only decent meal we had was at the Japanese restaurant. We are not picky eaters but no one in our group was able to find anything on the buffets that was even remotely good.

A relaxing and beautiful getaway

We loved our stay at the Majestic Elegance, particularly because the staff were so careful to ensure we were having a good time. From 24 hour room service, to butler service with a direct line of communication via WhatsApp, we always felt our questions were answered.

The rooms required a key card to enter, and it was less than ideal as we had to carry the keycard around at all times and our room card receiver required many tries before gaining access. We also found the food to sometimes be overly salty (the soups particularly), and the drinks very sugary, but were pleasantly surprised by the dining options overall. There were always bars available to make drinks near all the pools and beaches.

Beautiful resort and nice staff but struggle with management/check-in.

Location, rooms, restaurants, pool, and staff were all amazing!

Check-in was horrible! We were traveling with a group of 12 including children. We had made requests in advance for extra beds and rooms near each other. We got the rooms moved around after 45 min waiting at check-in. Then we got to our room and the keys wouldn’t work. It took 5 hours to get into our room! To make matters worse, we had to physically move one of the extra beds to another room in a different tower. Literally us in the elevator and pushing it down the hall. For all of our inconvenience we were offered 2 25 min massages. Once again, group of 12 traveling but only compensated 2 of us! Corporate would not do anything beyond the 2 massages!
